Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp peppermint extract
- 1–2 drops green food coloring (optional, for that classic minty hue)
- 1 cup whipped topping (or whipped heavy cream)
- ¾ cup mini chocolate chips
- ¼ cup chopped Andes mints or chocolate chunks (optional)
Instructions
-
Mix the base:
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
-
Add sweetness & flavor:
- Mix in powdered sugar, vanilla, and peppermint extract. If using, add a drop or two of green food coloring for that minty look.
-
Fold in the fluff:
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
-
Add the chocolate chips:
- Stir in mini chocolate chips and chopped Andes mints (if using).
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of peppermint extract based on how strong you like the mint flavor.
- If you don’t have Andes mints, any chocolate chunks will work well, but the Andes mints add an extra layer of flavor.
- This dip is great for dipping graham crackers, fruit, or even cookies!
