Description

Nun’s Puffs are light, airy pastries made with a simple dough of butter, milk, flour, and eggs, baked to golden perfection and served with honey or whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 stick butter (½ cup)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • ½1 Tablespoon sugar (optional)
  • Sugar for sprinkling
  • Honey for serving
  • Whipped cream/fruit (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin pan thoroughly.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan. Add milk and bring to a low boil.
  3. Add flour all at once, stir vigorously until dough forms a ball.
  4. Cool dough for 5 minutes.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
  6. Divide dough into muffin cups. Sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Serve warm with honey or other toppings like whipped cream or fruit.

Notes

  • These puffs are best served fresh and warm, but they can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes if necessary.
  • The sugar is optional, but it adds a slight sweetness to the puffs. Adjust according to taste.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of vanilla extract to the dough.
