  • About 20 mini Loacker wafers (enough to cover the pan)

For the caramel:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For the topping:

  • 1 cup milk or semi-sweet chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Line a small baking dish with parchment paper and arrange mini Loacker wafers in a single layer to cover the bottom.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, then stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and salt.
  3. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 6–8 minutes until thickened and golden.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the wafers and spread evenly. Let cool slightly.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and smooth the top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
  8. Cut into mini bars and serve chilled or at room temperature.
