    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    For the Creamy Cheese Mixture:

    • 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
    • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

    For the Casserole Layers:

    • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook Ground Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat if needed, then add marinara sauce. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Prepare Creamy Cheese Mixture:
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta (or cottage cheese), sour cream, 1 cup mozzarella, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth.
  • Layer the Casserole:
    • Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
    • Spread the creamy cheese mixture over the ravioli.
    • Top with half of the remaining meat sauce.
    • Add the rest of the frozen ravioli in a layer, then top with the remaining meat sauce.
  • Add Cheese Topping:
Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake:
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Let the casserole sit for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
