Prepare the Dough:
- In a bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.

Mix Dry Ingredients:
- Sift together the flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.

- Shape the dough into a log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Slice & Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Slice the dough into ½-inch rounds and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden.
Notes
- For an extra touch, you can roll the dough slices in granulated sugar before baking for a slightly crisp exterior.

- If you don’t have cornstarch, you can substitute it with an additional 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
