  1. 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  2. 1 lb ground beef
  3. ½ lb Italian sausage
  4. ½ cup pepperoni slices
  5. ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  6. 2 cups pizza sauce
  7. 1 tsp garlic powder
  8. 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  9. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  10. ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  11. ¼ cup black olives (optional)
  12. ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown the Meat: In a large skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess grease. Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and pizza sauce.
  • Assemble the Casserole: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the cooked pasta, half the meat mixture, and half the pepperoni and bacon. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with cheese on top.
  • Bake & Serve: Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with black olives and red pepper flakes if desired. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize this casserole by adding more toppings like mushrooms or bell peppers, or even switching out the pepperoni for another meat of your choice.
  • For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
