Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups butterscotch baking chips
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows

Flavorings and Mix-ins

  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1½ cups red M&M candies

Instructions

Melt the Base

  1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt together the semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter, stirring frequently until smooth and combined.

Add Marshmallows and Maple

  1. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the mini marshmallows, maple extract, and maple syrup until evenly mixed.

Mix in M&Ms and Set

  1. Fold in most of the red M&M candies, reserving some to sprinkle on top.
  2. Press the mixture evenly into a greased or parchment-lined baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle the reserved M&Ms on top and gently press them into the surface.
  4. Allow the bars to cool completely until set, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter for the best melting texture; natural peanut butter tends to separate.
  • For a festive touch, choose red M&Ms or mix in holiday colors.
  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for longer freshness.
