Description

Deliciously sweet and moist Maple Blondies infused with real maple syrup and brown sugar, baked to golden perfection with a tender crumb that’s perfect for any time treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup real maple syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8×8 baking dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. Boil maple syrup for 10 minutes until about ¼ cup evaporates. Let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, egg, vanilla, and brown sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and cooled maple syrup to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Boiling the maple syrup concentrates the flavor and thickens the blondies.
  • Ensure the maple syrup cools before mixing to avoid cooking the egg.
  • Line the pan with parchment for easy removal and clean-up.
  • Store blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
