Description
Maple BBQ Hasselback Kielbasa Bites are savory, smoky, and sweet bite-sized treats made with kielbasa slices coated in a tangy maple barbecue sauce and air-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 rings (13.9 ounces each) kielbasa
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup (79 g) maple syrup
- Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice the kielbasa into ¼-inch cuts about ⅔ of the way through using chopsticks or skewers as a guide to avoid cutting all the way through.
- Cut the kielbasa crosswise into 1-inch bite-sized pieces, yielding about 40 bites total. Place them in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup.
- Pour ½ cup of the sauce mixture over the kielbasa bites and toss to coat. Reserve the remaining sauce.
- Place the bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 400°F (204°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking halfway through, until browned.
- Remove the bites from the air fryer and place on a serving platter or baking sheet. Pour or brush ¼ cup of the reserved sauce over the top and toss to coat.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm with the remaining sauce on the side.
Notes
- Use chopsticks or skewers when slicing the kielbasa to avoid cutting all the way through.
- Work in batches if your air fryer basket is small to ensure even cooking.
- Serve with toothpicks for easy party snacking.
