Ingredients

  1. 1 cup fresh blueberries

  2. 1/4 cup honey

  3. 1/2 cup softened butter

  4. 1 teaspoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the fresh blueberries and honey.

  2. Stir occasionally and cook for about 8-10 minutes, until the blueberries burst and release their juices.

  3. Remove from heat and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mash it with a fork or use an immersion blender for a mostly smooth texture, leaving some chunks.

  5. Add the softened butter and lemon juice, mixing thoroughly until well combined.

  6. Transfer to an airtight jar or container and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to firm up.
