Ingredients
Scale
4 cups water
3 green tea bags
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Ice cubes
Lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Boil the water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium pot. Remove from heat.
Steep the tea and ginger: Add the green tea bags and fresh ginger slices to the hot water. Cover the pot and let the mixture steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired tea strength.
Sweeten with honey: Remove the tea bags and ginger slices. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, allowing it to dissolve completely.
Add lemon juice: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Chill the tea: Let the tea cool to room temperature. Transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour.
Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
Notes
You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to taste.
For a stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger slices steep longer in the hot water.
