This refreshing Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea with Honey is a perfect balance of zesty lemon, spicy ginger, and a touch of sweetness from honey. Serve over ice for a cool and healthy beverage!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 4 cups water
  2. 3 green tea bags
  3. 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced
  4. 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
  5. 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  6. Ice cubes
  7. Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium pot. Remove from heat.
  2. Steep the tea and ginger: Add the green tea bags and fresh ginger slices to the hot water. Cover the pot and let the mixture steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired tea strength.
  3. Sweeten with honey: Remove the tea bags and ginger slices. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, allowing it to dissolve completely.
  4. Add lemon juice: Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  5. Chill the tea: Let the tea cool to room temperature. Transfer it to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour.
  6. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to taste.
  • For a stronger ginger flavor, let the ginger slices steep longer in the hot water.
