  2. 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  3. 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  4. Zest from 2 limes (plus extra for garnish)
  5. 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  6. 2 large egg yolks
  7. Whipped cream, for topping
  8. Key limes, sliced thin, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the frozen mini phyllo tarts on a baking sheet and set aside.
  • Prepare the Key Lime Filling:
    In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, fresh lime juice, lime zest, powdered sugar, and egg yolks until smooth and creamy.
  • Fill the Tartlets:
    Using a small spoon, carefully fill each mini phyllo tart with the key lime mixture, leaving a slight space at the top to prevent overflow.
  • Bake the Tartlets:
    Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed. Remove from the oven and let the tartlets cool completely.
  • Add the Toppings:
    Once cooled, top each tartlet with a dollop of whipped cream. Garnish with a sprinkle of lime zest and a thin slice of key lime.
