- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup beef or chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
- Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your preferred doneness. Remove steaks and set aside to rest.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Lower the heat and pour in heavy cream and stock. Stir in Dijon mustard, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them warm for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve steaks topped with the creamy garlic sauce and garnish with fresh parsley.
