  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons adobo paste
  • Chipotle peppers to taste, pureed

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, lemon juice, diced red onion, black pepper, salt, jalapeños, yellow mustard, and chopped cilantro until well combined.
  2. Toast sourdough slices lightly. Spread pesto on one side of each slice.
  3. Layer tuna mixture, sliced tomatoes, and sliced avocado on the bread. Add hot sauce to taste.
  4. For chipotle aioli, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, honey, black pepper, chili powder, adobo paste, and pureed chipotle peppers until smooth.
  5. Spread chipotle aioli on the sandwich if using. Assemble and serve immediately.
