Description

These Italian Sauteed Mushrooms are bursting with flavor, thanks to tangy Italian dressing, sweet red bell peppers, and savory onions. A quick and easy side dish that pairs beautifully with pasta, grilled meats, or even as a topping for bruschetta!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 lb baby bella mushrooms, sliced

  2. 1 cup Italian dressing

  3. 1 onion, diced

  4. 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  5. Salt and pepper, to taste

  6. Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced mushrooms and a sprinkle of salt.

  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms turn golden brown.

  • Add Italian dressing, diced onion, and sliced red bell pepper to the skillet. Stir and bring to a boil.

  • Reduce heat to medium, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3 more minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Serve warm or cold, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • These mushrooms make an excellent topping for bruschetta, served as a side dish, or added to pasta.

  • You can adjust the amount of Italian dressing depending on your preferred level of tanginess.

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese when serving.
