Instructions
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg yolks, vanilla, and sour cream until smooth.
- Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Chill dough: Divide dough in half, wrap each in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Make filling: In a bowl, mix chopped walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, milk, and melted butter until well combined.
- Roll and fill: On a floured surface, roll out each portion of dough into a rectangle. Spread the filling evenly across the dough.
- Roll up: Roll the dough tightly from the long edge into a log.
- Slice and bake: Slice into 1-inch cookies and place on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until edges are golden.
- Cool: Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
