Ingredients

Scale
    1. 2 cups sweet onions, finely chopped (Vidalia or yellow onions work best)
    2. 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    3. 1 cup mayonnaise
    4. 1 cup shredded Swiss or Gruyère cheese
    5. ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
    6. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    7. ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    8. ½ teaspoon black pepper
    9. ¼ teaspoon salt
    10. 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, for a kick)
    11. 1 tablespoon butter (for sautéing onions)

Optional Toppings:

    1. ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs (for crunch)
    2. Extra shredded cheese for the top
    3. Chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven
    Set oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Sauté the Onions
In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook chopped onions until soft and golden brown (8-10 minutes). Stir in Worcestershire sauce and let cool slightly.
  • Mix the Dip
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Swiss cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, pepper, salt, and hot sauce. Fold in the sautéed onions and mix until smooth.
  • Assemble & Bake
Spread the mixture into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish or oven-safe skillet. Sprinkle with extra cheese and panko breadcrumbs if using. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Serve & Enjoy!
Garnish with chopped chives or parsley. Serve warm with crackers, crostini, pita chips, or fresh veggies.

Notes

If you’d like a more crispy top, broil the dip for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
