Description

This Hot Fudge sauce is a rich, decadent treat that’s perfect for drizzling over ice cream, cake, or brownies. With its smooth, velvety texture and deep chocolate flavor, it’s an indulgent topping that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 3 cups (600g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add sugar and cocoa powder to the melted butter. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Gradually pour in the evaporated milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently.
  5. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the fudge thickens slightly, stirring constantly.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  7. Serve warm over ice cream, cake, or brownies.

Notes

  • Store any leftover hot fudge in the fridge and reheat before serving.
  • For a thicker sauce, cook the fudge a bit longer until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by reducing the sugar or adding more cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
