Ingredients

  1. For the Chicken:

    • Chicken breast or thighs: Boneless, skinless, diced into bite-sized pieces
    • Flour: For dredging
    • Milk: To soak the chicken
    • Seasonings of your choice: Cajun, coarse black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, McCormick rotisserie chicken seasoning, seasoned pepper
    • Red bell pepper: Sliced
    • Green bell pepper: Sliced
    • Onion: Sliced

    For the Sauce:

    • Teriyaki sauce: Sweet and savory base
    • Hoisin sauce: Adds richness and depth
    • Soy sauce: For saltiness and umami
    • Honey: Natural sweetness
    • Brown sugar: For extra sweetness

    For the Noodles:

    • Blue Dragon egg noodles: Pre-cooked egg noodles
    • Shredded cabbage: Adds crunch and flavor
    • Shredded carrots: For added texture
    • Onion: Chopped
    • Green onion: Sliced
    • Teriyaki sauce: To flavor the noodles
    • Hoisin sauce: Adds a rich, tangy flavor
    • Soy sauce: For saltiness
    • Honey: Sweetener for the noodles
    • Brown sugar: Adds extra sweetness
    • Seasonings of your choice: Onion powder, garlic powder, McCormick rotisserie chicken seasoning, seasoned pepper

Instructions

For the Chicken:

  1. Clean, trim, and cut the chicken breast or thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Season the chicken with your chosen seasonings.
  3. Add milk to the seasoned chicken and let it soak.
  4. In a bag or bowl, add flour and season it as well.
  5. Remove chicken from the milk mixture and coat it with the flour.
  6. Fry the chicken until crispy and golden brown. Remove from the oil and drain.
  7. In a skillet on medium/high heat, add a small amount of oil.
  8. Add the red and green bell peppers and onion, and sear them slightly.
  9. Add the fried chicken to the skillet, then pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  10. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until everything is well-coated and heated through.
  11. Serve hot. Enjoy!

For the Sauce:

  1. In a bowl, mix together teriyaki sauce, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar until fully combined.

For the Noodles:

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the Blue Dragon egg noodles for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Drain the noodles.
  3. In a skillet, heat some oil over medium/high heat.
  4. Add the cooked noodles, shredded cabbage, onion, green onion, and shredded carrots.
  5. Season with your choice of seasonings.
  6. Quickly toss using tongs.
  7. Pour in some of the sauce mixture and stir well.
  8. Reduce heat and mix until everything is well combined.
  9. Serve hot. Enjoy!

  • You can adjust the sweetness or spiciness of the sauce according to your preference by varying the amount of honey or chili sauce used.
