Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon finely minced garlic
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add avocado oil.
  2. In a bowl, toss salmon cubes with chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Sear salmon in the skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in honey and lemon juice, simmering for another minute.
  6. Pour the warm sauce over the cooked salmon bites and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides or over rice.

Notes

  • Adjust honey and lemon to your preferred sweetness and tang.
  • Fresh salmon works best, but thawed frozen fillets can also be used.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the dry spices for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Serve with rice, couscous, quinoa, or a simple salad for a complete meal.
