Description
This Homemade Wendy’s Frosty is the perfect creamy, chocolatey treat you can make right at home! With just a few ingredients, you’ll get that iconic thick and indulgent texture.
Ingredients
- 4 cups chocolate milk
(A rich base for the Frosty) - 8 ounces frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
(Adds the creamy texture) - 7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
(Provides sweetness and creaminess) - 1/4 cup cocoa powder
(Intensifies the chocolate flavor)
Instructions
- Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the chocolate milk, frozen whipped topping, sweetened condensed milk, and cocoa powder. Blend until smooth and well combined. The mixture will resemble a thick milkshake consistency.
- Freeze the Mixture: Pour the chocolate mixture into a loaf pan and place it in the freezer.
- Whisk Every 30 Minutes: Every 30 minutes, remove the pan from the freezer and whisk the mixture to break up any ice crystals. This will help achieve that signature Frosty texture.
- Freeze Until Ready: After about 3 hours, your Frosty will be at the perfect consistency! Scoop it into a glass and enjoy.
Notes
- For an extra creamy texture, you can substitute the whipped topping with heavy cream, though it may alter the texture slightly.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding a little more or less sweetened condensed milk, depending on your preference.
- To store, keep the Frosty in an airtight container in the freezer. Let it soften slightly before serving if it hardens too much.
