Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  2. 1 cup heavy cream
  3. 1 cup whole milk
  4. 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  7. Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Make the Peach Puree: Toss the fresh peaches and lemon juice into a blender. Blend until smooth to create a peach puree.
  • Prepare the Cream Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  • Combine the Mixtures: Gently fold the peach puree into the cream mixture, ensuring everything is evenly mixed.
  • Churn: Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  • Freeze: Transfer the ice cream into a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until it firms up.

  • Serve and Enjoy: Scoop the homemade peach ice cream into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can freeze the mixture in a container and stir it every 30 minutes until firm.

  • You can add crushed cookies or nuts for extra texture, if desired.
