This creamy and tangy homemade honey mustard is the perfect combination of sweetness from honey and tanginess from Dijon mustard. It’s easy to make, and with optional mayonnaise for extra creaminess, it’s a versatile dipping sauce, salad dressing, or sandwich spread

Ingredients

Scale
  1. ½ cup Dijon mustard
  2. ¼ cup honey
  3. 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional, for creaminess)
  4. 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  5. ½ tsp garlic powder
  6. ¼ tsp salt
  7. ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard and honey until smooth.
  • Add mayonnaise (if using), apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Continue whisking until well combined and creamy.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess by adding more honey or vinegar as needed.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  • Serve as a dipping sauce, dressing, or sandwich spread. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Mayonnaise is optional but gives the sauce a creamier texture.
