Ingredients
-
2 cups whole milk
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup granulated sugar
-
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
Pinch of salt
Instructions
-
In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
-
Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
-
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 5–7 minutes.
-
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
-
Let the mixture cool slightly, then pour into popsicle molds.
-
Insert sticks and freeze for at least 4–6 hours, or until fully frozen.
-
To release fudgesicles, run warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds and gently pull out.
Notes
-
Make sure the mixture is thickened to the right consistency before pouring into the molds for the best texture.
-
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar to suit your taste.
