Description

These Homemade Easy Cheesy Pizza Pockets are the perfect grab-and-go snack, packed with gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and a hint of garlic and Italian seasoning. A crispy, golden crust holds all the cheesy goodness inside. Trust me, you’re going to love these simple and delicious pockets!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or other favorite toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, sausage, etc.)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil or melted butter, for brushing
  • Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the crescent or pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. If using crescent roll dough, separate it into triangles. If using pizza dough, cut it into 8 even rectangles.
  3. Spread a small amount of pizza sauce on each triangle or rectangle.
  4. Place a small handful of mozzarella cheese and a few pepperoni slices on top of the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder and Italian seasoning over the filling.
  6. Fold the dough over to form a pocket and press the edges with a fork to seal.
  7. Brush each pizza pocket with a light layer of olive oil or melted butter.
  8. Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on top for extra flavor.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pizza pockets are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Allow the pizza pockets to cool slightly before serving with extra pizza sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • If you’re not a fan of pepperoni, feel free to swap in your favorite toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or sausage.
  • For extra crispiness, you can brush the dough with olive oil or melted butter before baking.
  • Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping if you like your pizza pockets extra saucy!
