- 2 cups brown rice
- 2 pounds lean ground chicken
- 2 cups spinach, chopped
- 1 large carrot, shredded (about 1 cup)
- 1 small zucchini, shredded (about 1 cup)
Instructions
- In a large pot or saucepan, combine 4 cups of water and brown rice. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer and cover.
- Cook the rice for 45 minutes or until soft and all the water is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, cook the ground chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes, or until no longer pink.
- Add the chopped spinach, shredded carrot, and zucchini to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the spinach wilts and the vegetables soften.
- Remove the chicken and vegetable mixture from the heat and set aside to cool.
- Once the rice is cooked, stir the rice and chicken mixture together.
- Let the food cool completely before serving it to your dog or storing it for later.
