Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup dill pickle juice – the briny base for these pickle-flavored gummies
- 1/4 cup water – to dilute the pickle juice
- 3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin – gives the gummies their chewy texture
- 1 tablespoon honey or sugar – optional, for a slight sweetness
- Green food coloring – optional, to add a fun color
- Silicone gummy worm mold – to shape the gummies into fun worms
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the dill pickle juice and water. Heat over low heat until warm but not boiling.
- Gradually whisk in the unflavored gelatin, one tablespoon at a time, until completely dissolved.
- Stir in honey or sugar and a few drops of green food coloring (if using) for added sweetness and visual appeal.
- Remove the mixture from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
- Carefully pour or spoon the mixture into the silicone gummy worm mold, filling each cavity completely.
- Place the mold in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours or until the gummy worms are fully set.
- Once firm, remove the gummy worms from the mold and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- You can adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less honey/sugar.
- These gummies can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- For an extra tangy twist, you can add more dill pickle juice.
