Ingredients

  2. 1 tbsp baking powder
  3. ½ tsp salt
  4. 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  5. 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, parmesan, or mozzarella)
  6. 1 tbsp mixed dried herbs (oregano, thyme, basil)
  7. 1 cup milk
  8. 1 egg
  9. ¼ cup melted butter or olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder (if using), cheese, and herbs.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the bread is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool slightly before slicing.
