- 1 stick butter (½ cup)
- 1 cup milk
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- ½–1 Tablespoon sugar (optional)
- Sugar for sprinkling
- Honey for serving
- Whipped cream or fruit (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin pan thoroughly.
- In a saucepan, melt butter. Add milk and bring to a low boil.
- Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until a dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
- Let the dough cool for 5 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Divide the dough evenly into the greased muffin cups. Sprinkle tops with sugar.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed.
- Serve warm with honey or your choice of whipped cream and fruit.
Notes
- Make sure to grease the muffin tin well to prevent sticking.
- Do not open the oven during baking to avoid deflating the puffs.
- Best enjoyed fresh and warm straight from the oven.
