Angel Food Cake Dessert is a crowd-pleaser, featuring layers of angel food cake, vanilla cream, and cream cheese goodness. Topped with fresh berries, it’s perfect for any occasion!
Fresh berries or fruit (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Vanilla Cream Layer:
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in the sour cream until fully combined. Set aside.
Make the Cream Cheese Mixture:
In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
Assemble the Dessert:
In a large serving dish or trifle bowl, layer half of the cubed angel food cake at the bottom. Spread half of the vanilla pudding mixture over the cake layer. Next, spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the pudding layer. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, and cream cheese mixture.
Top it Off:
Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the top. Garnish with fresh berries, fruit, or even a drizzle of caramel or chocolate syrup if desired.
Chill & Serve:
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld. Scoop, serve, and enjoy!
Notes
