    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 teaspoons baking powder

    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/4 cup butter, melted
    • 1 egg

    For the Cinnamon Filling:

    • 1/2 cup butter, melted
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

    For the Icing:

    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan. Set it aside.
  • Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Prepare the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Prepare the Cinnamon Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  • Assemble the Bread: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Use a knife to swirl the filling into the batter.
  • Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Prepare the Icing: While the bread cools, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl to make the icing.
  • Serve: Drizzle the icing over the cooled bread, slice, and enjoy!

  • You can use a toothpick or cake tester to check for doneness. It should come out clean when the bread is fully baked.
