- ½ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (1 pound) ball store-bought pizza dough
- 6 tablespoons pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 ounces goat cheese
- 2 ounces soppressata
- Fresh basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
- Flaky salt
Instructions
- Make the hot honey: In a small saucepan, gently warm honey with sliced Calabrian chiles and rosemary over low heat for about 5–7 minutes. Remove from heat and let infuse. Season with black pepper.
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Dot with goat cheese and arrange soppressata slices on top.
- Bake pizza on a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet for 10–12 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove pizza from oven, drizzle generously with the Calabrian chile hot honey.
- Scatter fresh basil leaves over the pizza, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky salt.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- Let the hot honey cool slightly before drizzling for best flavor.
- Use a pizza stone for a crispier crust if available.
- Adjust the number of Calabrian chiles based on your heat preference.
- Fresh basil adds a bright, fresh finish—don’t skip it!
