Description
These juicy Garlic Steak Bites are seared to perfection and tossed in a garlicky butter sauce, then served over crispy baguette squares with creamy Boursin cheese. An easy yet impressive appetizer or a delicious addition to any gathering!
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless New York strip steak (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 3 tablespoons salted butter
- 3 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 demi baguette, cut into squares
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 round caramelized onion & herb Boursin cheese
- Balsamic glaze (for finishing)
- Flaky salt (for finishing)

Prepare the Steak:
Cut the steak into small cubes and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. -
Sear the Steak:
Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
Add avocado oil and place steak cubes in a single layer. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side until browned.
Remove steak from the skillet and set aside. -
Make the Garlic Butter:
Turn off the heat and add butter, minced garlic, and rosemary to the skillet. Stir until the butter is melted and fragrant.
Return the steak to the skillet, tossing in the garlic butter mixture to coat evenly. -
Toast the Baguette:
Preheat the broiler. Arrange baguette squares on a baking sheet.
Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Broil for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

Assemble & Serve:
Spread a layer of Boursin cheese on each toasted baguette square.
Place a steak bite on top and drizzle with the pan drippings.
Finish with balsamic glaze and a sprinkle of flaky salt. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can swap the Boursin cheese with another creamy cheese like goat cheese or cream cheese if preferred.
- Make sure to not overcrowd the pan when searing the steak to ensure it browns properly.
