Description

This Garlic Shrimp Pasta is a quick and flavorful dish with succulent shrimp, buttery garlic sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti. It’s an easy dinner option that’s sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed

  2. 1 lb spaghetti noodles (adjust for family size)

  3. 68 garlic cloves, minced (adjust to taste)

  4. ¼ cup butter

  5. Olive oil (about 3 drizzles)

  6. Italian seasoning, to taste

  7. Fresh ground pepper, to taste

  8. Red pepper flakes, to taste

  9. Salt, to taste

  10. Fresh herbs, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the Spaghetti: Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • Sauté the Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and fully cooked. Avoid overcooking.

  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower the heat, add the butter, and stir until melted.

  • Combine with Pasta: Toss the cooked spaghetti into the skillet, making sure the noodles are evenly coated with the garlic butter sauce.

  • Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Optionally, sprinkle with fresh herbs or Parmesan cheese for garnish.

  • Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use any type of pasta, but spaghetti is the traditional choice for this dish.

  • For added flavor, try using freshly grated Parmesan cheese or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for more heat.

  • Fresh herbs like parsley or basil make a great garnish and add freshness to the dish.

  • If you prefer more sauce, add a little pasta water or extra butter when tossing the pasta.
