- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil leaves (1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh oregano leaves (½ teaspoon dried)
- 1 garlic clove, minced (¼ teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper (or freshly cracked to taste)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- Drizzle of olive oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the chives, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic, lemon zest, salt, and pepper.
- Place the goat cheese log (or cream cheese, if using) in a medium bowl. Gently mix in the chopped herbs and garlic until evenly distributed.
- Use your hands or a spatula to shape the cheese mixture into a log.
- Roll the cheese log in the finely chopped pecans, ensuring it is well-coated on all sides.
- Wrap the cheese log in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Before serving, drizzle with a little olive oil for added richness. Enjoy with crackers, bread, or veggies!
