Description

Tender garlic butter steak bites paired with creamy mashed potatoes for a hearty and flavorful meal that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (or heavy cream for extra creaminess)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
  2. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and let the butter coat the steak. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, then turn off the heat. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  3. Boil the potato chunks in a pot of salted water for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  4. Drain and return the potatoes to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mash until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if needed for desired consistency.
  5. Garnish mashed potatoes with fresh parsley and a little black pepper. Serve with steak bites.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, you can use heavy cream instead of milk for the mashed potatoes.
  • Feel free to adjust the red pepper flakes to your preferred level of spice.
