Tender garlic butter steak bites paired with creamy mashed potatoes for a hearty and flavorful meal that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup whole milk (or heavy cream for extra creaminess)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and let the butter coat the steak. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, then turn off the heat. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Boil the potato chunks in a pot of salted water for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain and return the potatoes to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mash until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if needed for desired consistency.
- Garnish mashed potatoes with fresh parsley and a little black pepper. Serve with steak bites.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, you can use heavy cream instead of milk for the mashed potatoes.
- Feel free to adjust the red pepper flakes to your preferred level of spice.
- For a more intense flavor, marinate the steak bites in Worcestershire sauce and garlic before cooking.
