Description

A delicious combination of juicy grilled steaks and perfectly cooked shrimp, all topped with a flavorful garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic (or 1 tablespoon minced garlic)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 New York Strip Steaks or Porterhouse steaks
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 8 ounces shrimp, deveined, tails on or off

Instructions

  1. Mix together butter, garlic, and fresh chopped parsley. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Heat a large grill over high heat. Lightly grease grill plates with oil. Pat steaks dry with a paper towel. Brush lightly with oil and generously season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill steaks for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Spread half of the garlic butter over the steaks. Transfer steaks to a warm plate and let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. While the steaks are resting, melt the remaining butter. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and grill the shrimp for 5-6 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of your shrimp. Flip each shrimp halfway through the cook time and continue grilling until they turn pink and opaque inside.
  6. Toss the remaining garlic butter through the shrimp and serve with the steak!

Notes

  • For a more intense garlic flavor, feel free to add extra garlic to the butter mixture.
  • You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice over the shrimp for a fresh, citrusy kick.
  • If you prefer, you can use different cuts of steak or even grill chicken instead of steak.
  • Ensure the shrimp is cooked through by checking that it turns pink and opaque inside.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
