Add a festive twist to your holiday baking with these buttery, melt-in-your-mouth Funfetti Snowball Cookies, sprinkled with Christmas cheer! These soft, buttery cookies are packed with vibrant sprinkles and finished off with a snowy powdered sugar coating. Perfect for the holidays!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  2. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 1/2 cup festive red and green sprinkles (Funfetti-style)
  7. 1/4 cup mini white chocolate chips (optional)
  8. 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  • Start by creaming the softened butter and powdered sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Gradually add the flour and salt, blending until the dough forms. Fold in festive sprinkles and mini white chocolate chips for a pop of holiday magic!
  • Cover the dough and chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to make it easier to handle.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Once chilled, roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden while keeping the tops pale. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • When completely cool, roll each cookie in powdered sugar until coated. For an extra snowy touch, give them a second roll before serving.

Notes

  • You can skip the mini white chocolate chips if you prefer a more classic flavor.
  • Make sure to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent the cookies from spreading too much while baking.
  • For an added festive touch, use holiday-themed sprinkles to really make these cookies pop.
