Description

Crispy, golden-fried green olives paired with a rich and creamy garlic aioli make for a perfect appetizer! This irresistible snack is quick and easy to prepare, and it’s sure to impress at your next gathering


Ingredients

  1. 1 cup green olives, drained

  2. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  3. 2 large eggs, beaten

  4. 1 cup breadcrumbs

  5. 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  6. 2 cloves garlic, minced

  7. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  8. Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Prepare the garlic aioli: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

  • Prepare the breading station: In three separate bowls, place flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.

  • Coat the olives: Dip each olive first in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with breadcrumbs.

  • Fry the olives: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded olives in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Drain: Remove the olives from the pan and drain on paper towels.

 

  • Serve: Serve the fried olives hot with the prepared garlic aioli dip.


Notes

  • You can substitute the green olives with black olives if preferred.

  • Ensure the oil is hot enough for frying, but not smoking, to get the perfect crispy texture.

 

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs.
