Ingredients
1 cup water
3 3/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
1 tsp red food coloring
1–2 tsp cinnamon oil (to taste)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Butter for greasing
Instructions

Butter a 15x10x1-inch pan, line with parchment paper, and butter the parchment.

In a large saucepan, mix water, sugar, corn syrup, and red food coloring. Stir over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves.

Attach a candy thermometer. Bring mixture to a boil and heat to 300°F (hard crack stage), about 20 minutes.

Remove from heat and carefully stir in cinnamon oil. Pour immediately into the prepared pan.

Let cool completely for at least 4 hours.

Dust with powdered sugar, flip onto a board, remove parchment, and break into bite-sized pieces.

Dust again with powdered sugar if desired.

Store in an airtight container.
