- 5 slices sourdough or any bread of your choice
- 2 tbsp Boursin cheese or cream cheese (optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp finely chopped onions
- 2 tbsp finely chopped green bell peppers
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 3–4 Thai green chilies (adjust to spice preference)
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp oregano
- 1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread butter on both sides of the bread slices. If using, spread a thin layer of Boursin or cream cheese on one side.
- In a bowl, mix mozzarella, onions, bell peppers, garlic, chopped green chilies, salt, black pepper, oregano, and cilantro.
- Spread the cheese and veggie mixture evenly over the bread slices.
- Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes or until the cheese melts and turns golden.
- Serve hot as a spicy, cheesy snack.
Notes
- Use white or whole wheat bread if sourdough is not available.
- Adjust the number of green chilies based on your spice tolerance.
- Add a sprinkle of red chili flakes for extra heat.
- Swap mozzarella with cheddar or a cheese blend for variation.
