Description

These crispy Hot Honey Chicken Wings are a crowd favorite and come together quickly, making them perfect for busy weeknights or game day gatherings. Whether baked, air-fried, or grilled, this recipe delivers crispy, flavorful wings every time

Ingredients

  1. For the Wings:

    • 4 lbs chicken wings (about 30 wings), separated if still attached

    • 1 tbsp olive oil

    • 2 tsp garlic powder

    • 2 tsp paprika

    • 1.5 tsp salt

    • ½ tsp cayenne

  2. For the Hot Honey Sauce:

    1. ½ cup Mike’s hot honey

    2. ¼ cup butter, melted

    3. ¼ cup Frank’s Red Hot

Instructions

  • Oven-Baked Method:

    1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Pat the wings dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Toss the wings with olive oil and seasonings. Spread the wings evenly on a large baking sheet, ensuring they have plenty of room.

    2. Bake for 45 minutes, then flip the wings and broil for 5-6 minutes until crispy to your liking.

    3. Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add Frank’s Red Hot and hot honey, whisk until combined. Let the sauce bubble for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.

    4. Once the wings are done, drain excess fat and toss them with the sauce. Serve and enjoy!

  • Air Fryer Method:

    1. Spray the air fryer basket with oil and cook the wings at 375°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  • Grilling Method:

    1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the wings for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.

Notes

Adjust the amount of cayenne for spiciness. If using the air fryer or grill, make sure to check the internal temperature of the wings to ensure they’re fully cooked.
