- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 cups cooked and cubed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown ground beef: Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off excess grease.
- Sauté onion: Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, combine browned beef, onion, cream of mushroom soup, cream of potato soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Layer casserole: Pour half of the beef mixture into the baking dish. Top with half of the potatoes and half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
- Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
- Serve: Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use frozen or fresh potatoes for this casserole.
- If you want more flavor, try adding a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top for a cheesy crust.
- You can swap out the cheddar cheese for another variety like Monterey Jack or mozzarella.
