This easy and comforting casserole combines ground beef, creamy soups, potatoes, and cheddar cheese. It’s a perfect hearty dinner that’s sure to please the whole family!

  1. 1 pound ground beef
  2. 1 onion, chopped
  3. 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  4. 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup
  5. 1 cup milk
  6. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  8. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  9. 4 cups cooked and cubed potatoes
  10. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brown ground beef: Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off excess grease.
  • Sauté onion: Add chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, combine browned beef, onion, cream of mushroom soup, cream of potato soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  • Layer casserole: Pour half of the beef mixture into the baking dish. Top with half of the potatoes and half of the cheese. Repeat layers.
  • Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
  • Serve: Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use frozen or fresh potatoes for this casserole.
  • If you want more flavor, try adding a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top for a cheesy crust.
  • You can swap out the cheddar cheese for another variety like Monterey Jack or mozzarella.
