Description

This Dump and Bake Meatball Casserole is the ultimate comfort food, combining juicy meatballs, marinara sauce, and bowtie pasta, all baked with melty mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Easy to make and full of flavor, it’s perfect for a busy weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 Bag frozen meatballs, defrosted

  2. 1 Jar marinara or spaghetti sauce

  3. 3 Cups water

  4. 1 Box Bowtie pasta

  5. 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  6. 1 ½ Cups mozzarella cheese

  7. ¼ Cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • In a high-sided oven-proof pot or skillet, add the defrosted meatballs, marinara sauce, water, pasta, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.

  • Cover the pot and bake for 35 minutes.

  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Let sit for 10 minutes before serving

Notes

  • If you prefer, you can use any type of pasta instead of bowtie pasta.

  • You can also top the casserole with additional herbs, like basil or parsley, for extra flavor.

  • If the sauce seems too thick during baking, you can add more water to achieve your desired consistency.
