Instructions

  • Cream the Butter & Sugar: Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the Eggs: Mix in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Alternate Mixing: Gradually add the dry ingredients and whole milk to the butter and sugar mixture, alternating between them until fully combined.
  • Create Chocolate Batter: Separate about ⅓ of the batter into another bowl and mix with cocoa powder until fully incorporated.
  • Swirl the Batters: Pour the vanilla batter into a greased pan, followed by the chocolate batter. Use a knife to swirl the two batters together, creating a marble effect.
  • Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
