    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • ¼ cup powdered sugar

    • ½ cup fresh strawberries, diced

    For the Wonton Wrappers:

    • 2024 wonton wrappers

    For Frying:

    • Vegetable oil, for frying

    For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

    • ¼ cup granulated sugar
    • ½ tsp cinnamon

    Optional for Serving:

    • Strawberry jam
    • Whipped cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Filling:
    In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
    Gently fold in the diced strawberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed. Set aside.
  • Assemble the Wontons:
    Place a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Scoop about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling and place it in the center of the wrapper.
    Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper into your desired shape (triangle or pouch). Press the edges firmly to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  • Fry the Wontons:
    Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pot or skillet. Fry a few wontons at a time, cooking for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
    Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Coat with Cinnamon Sugar:
    In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. While the wontons are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.

  • For a lighter version, try baking the wontons at 375°F for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
