This Crockpot Mississippi Chicken is a game-changer! With tender chicken, rich ranch and au jus gravy flavors, and a kick from the pepperoncini peppers, it’s a perfect set-it-and-forget-it meal. So simple to make and full of flavor!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 5–6 pepperoncini peppers
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. -
Season:
Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken. -
Add Butter and Peppers:
Add the butter on top of the chicken, then sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Place the pepperoncini peppers on top of everything. -
Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded. -
Shred and Serve:
Shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce before serving.
Notes
- You can serve this Mississippi Chicken over rice, mashed potatoes, or with your favorite sides.
- If you like more heat, add extra pepperoncini peppers or even a bit of their brine.
