Description

This Crockpot Mississippi Chicken is a game-changer! With tender chicken, rich ranch and au jus gravy flavors, and a kick from the pepperoncini peppers, it’s a perfect set-it-and-forget-it meal. So simple to make and full of flavor!


Ingredients

  1. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  2. 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  3. 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  4. 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  5. 56 pepperoncini peppers
  6. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.

  • Season:
    Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the chicken.

  • Add Butter and Peppers:
    Add the butter on top of the chicken, then sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Place the pepperoncini peppers on top of everything.

  • Cook:
    Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.

  • Shred and Serve:
    Shred the chicken with two forks and mix with the sauce before serving.


Notes

  • You can serve this Mississippi Chicken over rice, mashed potatoes, or with your favorite sides.
  • If you like more heat, add extra pepperoncini peppers or even a bit of their brine.
