Description

This hearty Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake is a perfect slow-cooked meal for a cozy family dinner. Tender steak and perfectly cooked potatoes come together with a rich, cheesy topping, all made easy in your crockpot. Ideal for a comforting weeknight meal!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  2. 4 large russet potatoes, diced
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 1 cup beef broth
  6. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  7. 1/2 cup sour cream
  8. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  9. 1 teaspoon paprika
  10. Salt and pepper to taste
  11. Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, season the cubed sirloin steak with salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Place the diced potatoes and chopped onion in the bottom of the crockpot. Add the seasoned steak on top.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour this mixture over the steak and potatoes in the crockpot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the steak is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
  • About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover to allow it to melt.

  • Serve hot, drizzled with sour cream and garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can use half-and-half or heavy cream instead of sour cream.
  • If you prefer, you can add extra veggies such as bell peppers or mushrooms to the dish.

  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave or on the stove.
