Description

These crispy mac and cheese bites are the ultimate comfort food snack! With a golden, crunchy coating and a gooey, cheesy center, they’re perfect for parties or a fun family treat

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 2 cups cooked mac and cheese (chilled)
  2. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 2 eggs (beaten)
  4. 1 cup breadcrumbs
  5. 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  6. 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  8. 1/2 tsp paprika
  9. Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Scoop chilled mac and cheese into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Freeze for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Dredge each mac and cheese ball in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a frying pan.
  • Fry the mac and cheese balls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a little garlic powder or onion powder to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Make sure the mac and cheese is chilled before forming the balls to prevent them from falling apart while frying.
