  • 4 oz vegan cream cheese
  • 1 cup corn
  • 2 green onions, diced
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 24 square wonton wrappers
  • Oil for frying

  1. In a bowl, combine vegan cream cheese, corn, green onions, cilantro, garlic, jalapeño, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and seal, forming triangles or your desired shape.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons in batches until golden and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  4. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

  • Be sure not to overfill the wontons to prevent them from bursting during frying.
  • Use a slotted spoon to safely remove wontons from the oil.
